Can we use our own Word proposal template for exporting?

Yes. If your organization has specific logos, headers, footers and fonts that you must use for your Exports, no problem, you can upload them into RFP365 and once you've completed your Proposal, export your finished product back out into your template.

First you'll need to upload your own Word templates (saved as .docx) in the Account page under Templates. Your Word exports will then inherit the styles of the Word template you point to.

You will start by going into the Accounts page through the drop-down under your name.

And then select the appropriate Account/Sub Account (if applicable).

And then you'll be presented with the tabs shown below. Choose the Proposal Templates tab.

In your Word template, you can setup your header tags so that your content exports into the corresponding style:
  • The Proposal title will export into Heading 1
  • The Section names will export into Heading 2
  • The Question names will export into Heading 3
  • Responses will export into Normal (but the set Normal style will not be applied automatically)
**Important Note**  When you open the Word document, you may have to manually apply the Normal style to the response. The API applies the other styles, but not the Normal style automatically. So select all of the instances of Normal and apply the style.

Note: Only administrators can access the Account settings page.
Finally when you get ready to do your Export, one of the options you now have is to use your Templates and they can be selected from your drop-down menu.
